What cookies/browser storage RegCatalog uses
RegCatalog separates necessary storage from optional Analytics. Necessary storage supports the website, remembers your cookie preference and preserves local browser functionality in the free Product Data Notice Generator. Analytics is optional and off by default.
Necessary storage
Necessary storage is always active because the website and free tools need it to work. This includes the consent-preference storage key regcatalog_cookie_consent, which stores a versioned choice with policy version 1 and a decided-at timestamp.
The Product Data Notice Generator may use localStorage to autosave and restore your draft in the same browser. This browser storage is local application state. It is not used for advertising or tracking and is not deleted when you reject or withdraw Analytics consent.
RegCatalog asks visitors to review cookie preferences every 6 months, or sooner if the consent-policy version changes because purposes materially change.
Google Analytics
RegCatalog uses Google Analytics 4 only after you accept Analytics cookies. The current GA4 measurement ID is G-EGFJ5CLYV3. Before Analytics consent, RegCatalog does not load the Google Analytics tag, does not send page views or custom events to Google Analytics and should not set _ga cookies.
Analytics helps RegCatalog understand traffic, page use, generator starts, generator completion, notice exports, marketplace output usage and general interaction patterns.
RegCatalog does not intentionally send Product Data Notice field values, manufacturer names, product names, SKUs, entered URLs or other generator content to Google Analytics.
