About RegCatalog
Product regulatory data should not be rebuilt from scratch for every notice, PDF and marketplace field.
RegCatalog is an independent product-data tooling project for connected-product teams working with EU Data Act product information. The current public product is a free, stateless Product Data Notice generator for structuring the facts a manufacturer may need to review before publication.
Why it exists
The practical problem is publication and reuse.
EU Data Act Article 3 creates a pre-contract information workflow around connected-product data: teams need to describe generated data, format, estimated volume, continuous or real-time generation, storage, retention and access routes.
In a real manufacturer, that information can move between product, engineering, legal, ecommerce, distributor and marketplace workflows. A single Word document or PDF is not a durable source of truth when the same facts need to be reused across channels.
RegCatalog starts with the smallest useful wedge: make one product notice easier to structure, review and export. If manufacturer validation supports it, the broader direction is a lightweight catalogue for stable notice URLs, product-family reuse and channel-ready outputs.
